Patients with fixed orthodontic treatment-induced gingivitis aged between 15 and 40 years,
1) Systematically healthy patient with no co morbid history such as rheumatic fever, blood dyscrasias, congenital heart disease or diabetes mellitus
2) Subjects with gingivitis with moderate inflammation (stage 2) assessed by bleeding index, plaque index score >= 2 when checked by periodontal probe.
3) Patients who do not have any other gingival disease like hyperplasia.
1) patients on antibiotics or anti-inflammatory in the last 30 days,
2) patients who are taking anticonvulsants, antihypertensive or any immunosuppressive drugs
3) pregnant or lactating patients,
4) patients with removable or fixed dental prosthesis,
5) patients having parafunctional habits,
6) patients who have multiple missing teeth,
7) periodontally compromised patients.
8) Patients having habit of smoking and Tobacco or Arecanut
