Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Outcome measure: Inability to pass the nasogastric tube during application of cricoid pressure will be taken as effective cricoid pressureTimepoint: It is the percentage of patients in which effective cricoid pressure was applied.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
1.Outcome measure: The change in glottis view after release of cricoid pressure measured as the change in Cormack and Lehane gradingTimepoint: It is the degree of change in Cormack Lehane view (improvement or worsening) measured as number of grades by which the view changed and expressed as a percentage;2.Outcome measure: Comparison of effectiveness of cricoid pressure across groups of anaesthetists with varying levels of experience (groups A to E)Timepoint: It is the number of cases of effective cricoid pressure in each group of anaesthetists expressed as a percentage of the total number of cases in that group
