(1) mild to moderate skeletal Class II patients (ANB=4-9); (2) growing patients in stage 4 to 5 indicating an acceleration or peak of growth according to Bjork (1972) and Grave and Brown (1976) in a hand-wrist radiograph; (3) convex facial profile (FCA>13); (4) no previous history of orthodontic treatment; and (5) no systemic or degenerative disease of the temporomandibular joints.
Patients who were at the end stage of growth
Patients who were not willing to comply during treatment
