简要总结

As individuals age, they commonly experience changes in posture, muscle strength, cognitive ability, and mental health. Forward head posture (FHP) is a frequent postural issue among the elderly, often linked to musculoskeletal discomfort, poor balance, and reduced mobility. At the same time, declining cognitive performance and increased anxiety are common in this age group and can significantly affect independence and quality of life.

Hand grip strength, a simple and reliable measure of muscular function, has been shown to correlate with overall health status, cognitive function, and psychological well-being in older adults. However, limited research has explored the combined relationships between FHP, grip strength, cognitive decline, and anxiety in elderly populations.

This study aims to assess the interrelationship between forward head posture, hand grip strength, cognitive performance, and anxiety levels in individuals aged 60 years and above. Standardized tools will be used to measure each variable: postural assessment techniques for FHP, a dynamometer for grip strength, for cognitive assessment, and anxiety scales such as HAM-A.

The findings may help identify physical indicators that correlate with cognitive and psychological changes in aging, potentially serving as early screening tools or targets for preventive interventions. Understanding these associations may contribute to improved functional health, early detection of decline, and better management of age-related conditions in the elderly population.
