Inclusion Criteria

The patient is an outpatient male or female between 40 and 75
years of age in Visit 1.
The patient has a consistent medical history of at least 1 year
symptoms of intermittent or persistent COPD.
The patient has a smoking history of> 10 packs per year

Exclusion Criteria

a. In the opinion of the researcher, the patient is mentally incapacitated or
legally, what prevents obtaining informed consent, is incapable of
read or understand written material or unable to comply with procedures
of the study or protocol.
b. The patient has a recent history (<6 months) of myocardial infarction,

c. The patient is hospitalized or has been hospitalized for 4 weeks
prior to Visit 1.
d. The patient plans to move or take a vacation away from home (for> 7 days) during the course of the study.

weeks before Visit 1.
