- •The patient is an outpatient male or female between 40 and 75
- •years of age in Visit 1.
- •The patient has a consistent medical history of at least 1 year
- •symptoms of intermittent or persistent COPD.
- •The patient has a smoking history of> 10 packs per year

- •a. In the opinion of the researcher, the patient is mentally incapacitated or
- •legally, what prevents obtaining informed consent, is incapable of
- •read or understand written material or unable to comply with procedures
- •of the study or protocol.
- •b. The patient has a recent history (<6 months) of myocardial infarction,
