Subjects who decide to undergo bariatric metabolic surgery
- After receiving and understanding a detailed explanation of the pesent clinical study, those who voluntarily decided to participate as research subjects and gave written consent
- Adults over 19 years old, under 60 years old
- Those who have no serious systemic diseases requiring treatment other than metabolic diseases related to obesity and no pathological symptoms or findings as a result of medical examination.
- Those who are determined to be suitable clinical trial subjects as a result of laboratory tests such as medical examination, physical examination, serology test, hematology test, blood chemistry test, and urinalysis after the screening test.
- As a normal control group, subjects for laparoscopic surgery for benign abdominal diseases or liver transplant donors
- Persons under 19 years of age and over 60 years of age
- Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant within one year
- Drug abusers
- Patients with alcoholic liver disease or other confirmed liver diseases: hepatitis B or C, autoimmune hepatitis, drug-induced liver damage, and other liver diseases
- History of taking drugs that cause secondary fatty liver disease within the past 6 months (corticosteroids, tamoxifen, amiodarone, methotrexate, etc.)
- Patients with biliary disease or liver disease with confirmed ascites
- Patients who have developed cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease within the past year
- Expected glomerular filtration rate <30 ml/min/1.73 meter squared in renal function test
- Persons deemed unsuitable for participation in obesity metabolic surgery or clinical research according to the judgment of the research director
