- Brief Summary
The two groups were comparable in terms of baseline characteristics. The experimental group had a mean age of 23.45±1.84 years, whereas the control group's mean age was 24±2.27 years. Both groups had similar proportions of participants with and without VR experience (16.1% with VR experience and 83.9% without VR experience in both groups). The two groups did not differ in any of the study variables. The post-test results showed statistically significant differences between the two groups in nursing process confidence (t=- 1.917, p=.03), satisfaction (t=2.149, p=.02), and quality of documented nursing processes (t=3.842, p=.00). Although not statistically significant, both groups showed increased preparedness after the intervention (t=-1.467, p=.07). There was no significant difference in engagement between the two groups after the intervention (t=0.518, p=.30). Paired t-tests conducted to compare the pre and post scores of nursing process confidence and preparedness showed that both groups demonstrated statistically significant improvement after the intervention (p<.001), while there was no time by group effect (confidence p=.68, preparedness p=.23).
