Inclusion Criteria
1. ASA Grade I and II.
2. Enrolled for elective forearm and hand surgery.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Any known hypersensitivity or contraindication
to ropivacaine, dexmedetomidine
2. Pregnancy, lactating mothers
3. Hepatic, renal or cardiopulmonary abnormality,
4. Alcoholism, diabetes, long-term analgesic
therapy
5. Bleeding diathesis, local skin site infections
6. History of significant neurological,
psychiatric or neuromuscular disorders
7. Patients having any history of drug allergy or
prolonged drug treatment.
