Inclusion Criteria
Adult patients > 18 years undergoing cardiac surgery in whom a transesophageal echocardiography probe is used.
Exclusion Criteria
Any patient with a known contraindication to transesophageal echocardiography probe or in whom the probe cannot be inserted.

Name Time Method The proportion of patients with appropriate depth of insertion of central venous catheters in each group as guided by transesophageal echocardiography.Timepoint: Intraoperatively after catheter placement.
