Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •women aged between 18 and 50 years old; complaint of vocal alteration; altered voice evidenced by a speech\-language auditory perceptual pre\-assessment; bilateral vocal nodules or mucosal thickening or edema and glottic cleft on phonation; not having used TENS for any type of treatment
Exclusion Criteria
- •women who had received speech therapy before; over 50 years of age; who reported being or had completed menstrual flow; who reported any general neurological alterations; thyroid gland changes, who had undergone clinical treatment for hormonal control (except contraceptive pill); vocal or surgical laryngeal treatment; heart problems, high blood pressure, hyper or hypothyroidism; smokers; alcoholics
