Inclusion criteria were patients who had a double J ureteral stent inserted after ureteroscopic ureter stone removal for unilateral recurrent ureteral stones.
Exclusion criteria were coexisting noncalculous disease (e.g., malignant obstruction, renal insufficiency, or congenital
anomaly of urinary tract), solitary kidney, ureteral stricture, pregnancy, or complicated ureteroscopic ureter stone removal requiring long-term stent placement (>7 days).
