Patients at least 18 years of age undergoing BAL/BW for evaluation for respiratory disease
Localized lung lesion (Consolidation/ Mass/ Ground-glass opacities/cavity) undiagnosed after initial investigation (including relevant blood and sputum investigation)
Consenting to undergo the study
Hypoxemic patient (Spo2 < 90% on room air)
Unstable angina, uncontrolled arrythmias
Hypercapnic respiratory failure (PaO2 > 45 mm Hg)
Hemodynamic instability (On any vasopressor)
Uncontrolled asthma
Uncorrectable coagulopathy
Unstable cervical spine
Uncooperative patient
Pregnancy
