Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Newly diagnosed patients (age 18 years or above) with clinic\-radiological diagnosis of locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic oesophageal cancer.
- •2\.Patients assessed in Thoracic Oncology Clinic and not referred to Palliative Medicine
- •3\. Patient must have a caregiver.
- •4\. Able to give informed consent for questionnaire administration and willing to participate.
- •5\.Able to communicate and understand English/Hindi/Marathi.
- •1\. Adults (aged 18 years or over) identified by the patient as the person closest to them (family member/ close friend).
- •2\. Able to give informed consent to complete the questionnaires.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients having pre\-existing psychiatric disorder or cognitive impairment preventing patients from comprehending questionnaire.
- •2\. Patients with unstable medical condition requiring any emergency treatment.
- •3\. Patients unable to express their views even with communication aids.
- •4\.Patients already referred to Palliative Medicine Department.
