Male patients aged 18 â?? 40 years with androgenetic alopecia attending the Dermatology outpatient department in St. Johnâ??s Medical College Hospital and who are willing to participate in the study.
1. Patients with a history of chronic smoking
2. Patients with a history of chronic alcoholism
3. Patients with dermatological condition which are known to be associated with metabolic syndrome like Psoriasis
4. Patients receiving corticosteroid therapy or hormone replacement therapy with testosterone
5. Patients on long-term treatment of metabolic syndrome ( >1 year) without records of baseline investigations
