Acute renal damage according to KDIGO criteria
Patient (or the authorized representative) is able and willing to give written consent.
Exclusion Criteria
Kidney transplantation within 6 months; chronic renal replacement therapy, ESRD; Participation in thematically overlapping study; terminal status

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The primary study endpoint will be loss of kidney filtration function from hospital admission to 3 months after acute kidney injury.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method length of stay in the hospital, peak serum creatinine during the index hospital stay, AKI complications, the proportion of patients receiving acute renal replacement therapy, discharge status (discharge home, nursing home, rehabilitation, external hospital, in-hospital death), rehospitalization, MACE (myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention, cardiovascular death or stroke) or chronic dialysis treatment at 90 days after AKI, or death 12 months after AKI.
