Inclusion Criteria
All patients aged between 10 to 60 years of age presented to surgical department with diagnosis of acute appendicitis.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Diffuse peritonitis
2.Appendicular mass
3.Appendicular abscess
4.Antibiotic documented allergy
5.Ongoing previously commenced antibiotic therapy
6.Previous appendectomy
7. Positive pregnancy test
8. IBD history or suspicion of IBD re-occurrence
9. Modified Alvarado score below 7.

Name Time Method Compare the outcome of non-operative treatment (NOM) with antibiotics versus surgical management of uncomplicated AA in the specified age range. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Evaluate the effectiveness and short as well as long term outcomes of NOM of uncomplicated AA. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 1 year
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To identify clinical, laboratory and imaging findings or the factors that are predictive of failure of conservative management(NOM) in acute appendicitis and/or relapse of appendicitis and need for appendicectomy within one year. <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 1 year.
