Age between 18 and 70 years, palpable pain at the heel, clinically diagnosed plantar heel pain (plantar fascia dinosis / plantarfasciities: ICD-10 code M72.2), suitability for orthopaedic device therapy
cardiovascular, neurological or peripheral vascular diseases, acute infections, alcohol abusus, current drug therapy (pain and anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotic treatments), acute traumas at the lower extremity, current physiotherapeutic treatments, further additional ailments on the musculoskeletal system.

Name Time Method Foot-Function-Index (FFI - German Version, Total Score) (time point 0 and 12 weeks)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Quality of life (SF-12 - German version), tendon thickness in mm (measured by ultrasound), FFI subscale pain, FFI subscale function at time 0 and after 12 weeks, general assessment of health status at the end of the intervention (5-Point Likert Scale)
