Inclusion Criteria

1. Myopia will be defined as refractive error with Spherical Equivalent (SE) >=-0.5D in at least one eye. Myopia will be graded as mild myopia if SE <-3.0D, moderate myopia if SE -3.0D to -6.0D and high myopia if SE >=-6.0D.

2. Non-myopes will include emmetropic, hypermetropic and astigmatic individuals.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Patients not willing to participate in the study

2. Any significant history of previous ocular diseases like glaucoma, uveitis, retinal disease,cataract.

3. Any history of systemic steroids.

4. History of any previous refractive surgery or other therapies for myopia including corneal

reshaping, use of bifocals and use of atropine.

5. Any systemic disease known to be associated with myopia such as Diabetes, Marfanâ??s syndrome and Downâ??s syndrome
