Association of genetic polymorphisms in rachidonate 5-lipoxygenase activating protein (ALOX5AP) in patients undergoing vascular intervention.
- Conditions
- Diseases of the circulatory system
- Registration Number
- KCT0007148
- Lead Sponsor
- Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital
- Brief Summary
The rs9551963 SNP of ALOX5AP was found to be associated with the prevalence and extent of PAD in this study. The group with the C/C genotype of rs9551963 was more likely to develop PAD than the group with the A/A genotype of rs9551963. Furthermore, the more C alleles in rs9551963 an individual has, the more legs tend to be affected by PAD.

- 129
Medical records of patients who underwent vascular intervention at Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital between May 2018 and August 2019 were investigated. Male patients over 55 years of age with an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status 1-3 were included.
Patients with neurological or psychiatric disorders that could make ABI measurements inaccurate due to poor cooperation were excluded.
