ASA 1 and ASA 2 patients posted for laparoscopic cholecystectomy
a)Use of steroids within one month of surgery
b)Chronic pain requiring opioid treatment
c)History of allergy to any study medications
d)Patients with renal disease (serum creatinine more than 1.6 mg/dl)
e)Patients with liver disease (liver enzymes more than two times of normal values)
f)Pregnancy or menstruation
g)Diabetes mellitus
h)Co-existing GI pathology (e.g. gastric ulcer, ulcerative colitis, Crohnâ??s disease etc.)
i)Psychiatric disorder
j)History of alcohol or drug abuse
k)Conversion from laparoscopic cholecystectomy to open procedure
l)Patients who are immunosuppressed or undergoing immunosuppression therapy
