Inclusion Criteria
- •ALL PRETERM NEONATES \<34 WEEKS GESTATION BORN UNDER NEONATAL UNITS OF NEHRU HOSPITAL, PGIMER, CHANDIGARH IN THE MONTH OF JULY\-AUGUST,2016\.THE NEWBORNS WERE ENROLLED 3 HOURS AFTER THEIR BIRTH WHEREBY THE FIRST CORD SWAB SAMPLE WAS TAKEN.
Exclusion Criteria
- •PRETERM NEWBORN WITH CORD ABNORMALITIES(EG OMPHALOCELE)AND MOTHERS WHO REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STUDY WERE EXCLUDED
