Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1 Participants aged 18 years and above.
  • 2 Participant should have one or more of the following :
  • \- \>An acute Increase in SCr by \> 0\.3 mg/dl within 48 hours.
  • \- \>Increase in SCr to \>1\.5 times baseline, which is known or presumed to have occurred within the prior 7 days.
  • \- \> Urine volume \<0\.5 ml/kg/h for 6 hours.
  • \- \> All incident patients of high creatinine will be included . (If baseline Cr was not available but creatinine subsequently fell from the maximum creatinine by a factor of 1\.5 or more to a value below threshold, these patients were also defined as having AKI).

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients with proven end\-stage renal disease .
  • Patients on maintenance dialysis (HEMODIALYSIS AND PERITONEAL DIALYSIS) .
  • When baseline was not available and the patient died before renal recovery.
  • Renal transplant
