Inclusion Criteria

1. Tumours located in sigmoid colon or rectosigmoid junction
2. Patients younger than 80 years, either sex
3. Patients with American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) grade not superior to III
4. Patients with body mass index (BMI) less than 30 kg/m^2

Exclusion Criteria

Stage IV tumours
