Mothers with Borderline Personality Disorder:
(1) Diagnosis of BPD in mothers (via SCID-PD),
(2) infant(s) between 6 months - 6 years of age,
(3) M-BPD and C-BPD must be in regular contact or living together,
(4) mothers must have completed or be currently in therapy for their BPD symptoms,
(5) written informed consent,
(6) German language competence.
Mothers with affective or anxiety disorders:
(1) Maternal diagnosis of any anxiety disorder or depressive disorder,
(2) infant(s) between 6 months - 6 years of age,
(3) M-AD/D and C-AD/D must be in regular contact or living together,
(4) written informed consent,
(5) German language competence.
Mothers with no psychological disorder:
(1) no mental disorder,
(2) infant(s) between 6 months - 6 years of age,
(3) M-CON and C-CON must be in regular contact or living together,
(4) written informed consent,
(5) German language competence.
Mothers with Borderline Personality Disorder:
(1) acute child endangerment,
(2) maternal acute suicidality,
(3) maternal acute psychotic symptoms,
(4) maternal acute alcohol or drug dependency,
(5) maternal diagnosed intellectual disability.
Mothers with affective or anxiety disorders:
(1) acute child endangerment,
(2) maternal acute suicidality,
(3) maternal acute psychotic symptoms,
(4) maternal acute alcohol or drug dependency,
(5) maternal diagnosed intellectual disability,
(6) lifetime diagnosis of BPD.
Mothers with no psychological disorder:
(1) acute child endangerment,
(2) current mental disorder,
(3) maternal diagnosed intellectual disability,
(4) lifetime diagnosis of BPD.
Children:
(1) blindness
(2) deafness
(3) severely impaired mobility
(4) no comprehension of the German language
