I aim to study the effects of posterior oblique sling mobilization by 3-D release technique on pain, range of motion and functional disability in layered syndrome

详细描述

In previous literature a placebo randomized control trial was conducted. To examine how 3D MFR affects lumbar range of motion and a lumbar lordosis angle in people with asymptomatic hyperlordosis. 30 participants with hyperlordosis who met the inclusion criteria were selected. Using a lottery approach, these individuals were randomly assigned to either the experiemental group or control group, keeping a 1:1 ratio. The experimental group received 3D MFR and the control group received sham 3D MFR for six sessions (3 alternate days for 2 weeks). Lumbar range of motion was assessed using modified-modified Schober's test and the lumbar lordosis angle was measured using x-ray and flexicurve.

  • + Craniocervical flexion test
  • + Fleshe test (Occiput to wall distance)
  • + Thomas test
  • + Straight leg raise (SLR)
  • +Push Up test
  • +Trunk Curl Up test

排除标准

  • Other conditions involving the shoulder (eg. rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, damage of the glenohumeral cartilage, Hill-Sachs lesion, osteoporosis, or malignancies in the shoulder region).
  • Presence of medical conditions such as cardiac disease, infections, coagulation disorder.
  • The participants with any musculoskeletal injuries in the past 6 months
  • Cervical dysfunctions affecting upper limbs
  • Lumbar Dysfunctions
  • Any fracture or other injury
  • Any systemic illness
  • Any neurological disease

Neck disability Index

Changes from the baseline NDI is a 10-item questionnaire created by Vernon and Mior in 1991 to assess how neck pain affects daily activities such as lifting, reading, driving, personal care, sleeping, recreation, and concentration. On a scale of 0 to 5, each item has a score; higher scores correspond to more disability.

Oswestry Disability Index

Changes from the baseline Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) is regarded as the gold standard for assessing adults with low back pain (LBP) in terms of both disability and quality of life (QOL). The questionnaire is designed to be a self-reported survey, where patients suffering from LBP come across limitations in Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) in several health constructs like personal care, lifting, walking, sitting, standing, sleeping, sexual life, social life, and traveling. The patients indicated the effect of pain on activities. The questions having a score range from 0 to 5, giving a maximum total score of 50. Oswestry Disability Index (ODI).

Shoulder Pain and Disability Index

Changes from the baseline SPADI is a self-administered questionnaire designed to evaluate pain and functional impairment related to shoulder disorders. It consists of 13 items, divided into pain and disability subscales, and is often used in both clinical practice and research.
