1. ASA I and II
2. Patients with body mass index between 18-30 kg/m2 [BMI 18-30 kg/m2]
3. Women posted for elective Total Abdominal hysterectomy.
1. Coagulopathy /thrombocytopenia
2. Localised infection at the proposed site of injection.
3. Inability to comprehend the scoring systems to be employed due to physical or mental problems
4. Known allergy to the drugs to be used (local anaesthetics , opioids)
5. Opioid tolerance /dependence
6. Renal/hepatic impairment
7. Known cardio respiratory impairment
