简要总结
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of viewing nature imagery accompanied by music on blood pressure and pain in intensive care unit patients compared with standard care.
The questions to be answered within the scope of the research are:
Does viewing nature imagery accompanied by music affect blood pressure in intensive care unit patients compared with standard care? Does viewing nature imagery accompanied by music affect pain levels in intensive care unit patients compared with standard care?
Participants will:
The patients will be divided into two groups: an intervention group and a control group.
The intervention group will Patients in the intervention group will be exposed to nature imagery accompanied by music once daily for 30 minutes over five consecutive days. Blood pressure and pain levels will be assessed before, during, and after each session.
The control group will continue with routine intensive care unit follow-up treatments.
详细描述
Patients in the intervention group will be administered a questionnaire Demographic Information Form and Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Blood pressure will be measured using a bedside patient monitor. Patients will be shown nature scenery accompanied by music once a day for five days; the scenery will be displayed on a tablet, and the music will be played via headphones. The intervention will consist of nature-themed visuals-such as forests, seas, lakes, and waterfalls-paired with relaxing, instrumental, wordless music played at a tempo of 60-80 beats per minute (BPM). Vivaldi's classical compositions will be selected for the music. This procedure will be administered by an intensive care nurse. Measurements will be taken prior to the intervention, at the 15th minute of the intervention, at the end of the intervention (30th minute), and 15 minutes after the intervention has concluded. Measurements will be taken over a period of 5 days.
Control Group Patients in the control group will also be administered the Demographic Information Form and VAS. Blood pressure measurements and pain assessments for patients in the control group will be performed concurrently with those for patients in the intervention group. Patients in the control group will not undergo any intervention during the study period, and their routine intensive care treatment and care will continue. Blood pressure and pain levels in the patients in the control group will be evaluated over a period of five days.

研究组 & 干预措施
Intervention Group: Viewing Nature Imagery Accompanied by Music
Patients in the intervention group will complete a Demographic Information Form and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Blood pressure will be measured using a bedside patient monitor. Patients will view nature scenery (e.g., forests, seas, lakes, and waterfalls) displayed on a tablet while listening to relaxing, wordless instrumental music through headphones. Vivaldi's classical compositions with a tempo of 60-80 beats per minute will be used. The intervention will be administered by an intensive care nurse once daily for 30 minutes over five consecutive days. Blood pressure and pain levels will be assessed before the intervention, at the 15th minute, immediately after the intervention, and 15 minutes after completion on each of the five days.
干预措施: Viewing Nature Imagery Accompanied by Music (Other)
Control Group: Usual care
atients in the control group will complete the Demographic Information Form and VAS. Blood pressure and pain levels will be assessed at the same time points as in the intervention group over five consecutive days. No additional intervention will be provided, and routine intensive care treatment and nursing care will continue.
结局指标
主要结局
Visual Analog Scale
时间窗: VAS measurements: Before the nature imagery and music viewing session (baseline value) At the 15th minute of the session At the end of the session (30th minute) 15 minutes after the nature imagery and music viewing session
The study by Hayes and Patterson (1921) is considered a foundational source for the widespread adoption of the VAS in modern clinical pain measurement. Its clinical use in pain assessment was subsequently popularized, particularly by Huskisson (1974). It represents pain on a scale ranging from 0 (no pain) to 10 (severe pain). The patient indicates the intensity of the pain they are experiencing by marking a point on the line. The measurement can be scored on a 0-10 scale or a 0-100 mm scale.
Blood Pressure
时间窗: Before the nature imagery and music viewing session (baseline value) • At the 15th minute of the session • At the end of the session (30th minute) • 15 minutes after the nature imagery and music viewing session
Systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and mean arterial pressure (MAP) will be evaluated as primary physiological variables in the study. The values will be measured using a bedside monitor.
