入选标准
- •Obstetric patients of American society of Anaesthesiology physical status I/II, between 18 and 40 years of age, at 37-42weeks of gestation and undergoing an elective, lower segment caesarean section (CS) for singleton pregnency are included
排除标准
- •Parturients not willing to participate in this study
- •Presence of any contraindication for spinal anaesthesia
- •History of allergy to study drug
- •Patients on selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or migraine medications
- •Ischemic heart disease
- •cardiac insufficiency
- •Diabetes melliutus
- •chronic hypertension
- •Pregnancy induced hypertension
- •Placenta previa
- •Abnormal fetal development
- •Body mass index >35kg/ sq mt
- •Height <142 cm
- •Patients with pre-existing QT prolongation or any cardiac conduction abnormality
