This cross-sectional observational study aims to assess the dietary intake and nutritional adequacy of physically active young adults, aged 18 to 30 including gym-goers and recreational athletes, residing in Mumbai. The study will be conducted among 200 participants using snowball sampling. Data will be collected using validated tools, including the 24 hour dietary recall and Food frequency questionnaire to assess the dietary intake, the International physical activity, questionnaire-short form (IPAQ-SF) to determine the physical activity levels, and Anthropometric measurements to estimate the individual nutritional requirements. The findings of the study are expected to highlight the gap between the actual dietary intake and the recommended nutritional needs and provide insights into the role of diet in supporting active lifestyles.

  • Individuals physically active for past 6 months at least.
  • People scoring more than 600 MET in IPAQ-SF.
  • People residing in Mumbai.

排除标准

  • Sedentary individuals that aren’t engaged in structured physical activity.
  • Individuals diagnosed with metabolic disorders or chronic illness that could affect physical activity.
  • People scoring less than 600 MET in IPAQ-SF.
