Clinical profile of person with low back pain visiting a tertiary care center in western Rajasthan

This study, approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee, aims to understand the clinical profile of individuals with low back pain at the AIIMS Jodhpur PMR OPD in western Rajasthan. We will recruit 384 participants aged 18-65 years with a confirmed diagnosis of low back pain lasting at least 4 weeks.we include patints visting PMR OPD with low back pain ,Age 18-65 years and exclude ,Previous spinal surgery,Serious underlying medical conditions,Neurological conditions like TBI,Stroke,Pregnancy.patient assesment include demographic information (age, gender, occupation, medical history) to understand the typical patient profile. Pain severity will be quantified using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) (0-10). A comprehensive neurological examination will assessmotor and sensory functions. A thorough physical examination (head-to-toe) will identify potential contributing factors like posture, range of motion, muscle strength, and tenderness. X-ray and/or MRI scans  used as needed to visualize the spine and identify structural abnormalities.

Objectives:Analyze demographics, pain characteristics (intensity and duration using NRS), neurological function, physical examination findings, and potential associations with imaging results  of participants with low back pain. This will help develop more targeted treatment strategies and resource allocation for low back pain management.

Ethical Considerations:

Informed consent will be obtained from all participants. Participant confidentiality will be maintained. The study protocol has been approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee.
