1.Proven ileo-colonic tuberculosis and
2.Proven stricture with radiographic and/or endoscopic evidence and
3. Symptomatic for stricture
1.Age <18 and >75 years
2.Coexisting HIV, Malignancy, Pregnancy
3.Past history of abdominal tuberculosis
4. Past abdominal surgery
5. Coexisting inflammatory bowel disease
6.Contraindications for steroid use like osteoporosis, glaucoma, uncontrolled diabetes, uncontrolled ongoing sepsis, excess fluid retention like congestive heart failure, renal failure, cirrhosis with ascites
7. Post-surgical diagnosis of tuberculosis
