The inclusion criteria were severe skeletal anomaly (prognathous/retrognathous maxilla and/or mandible) with characteristic dental manifestations in the form of elevated or inverse overbite, open bite, deep bite.
Exclusion criteria were an underlying congenital syndrome, a history of cleft lip and palate, a history of trauma, or patients who had been previously treated with osteotomy of the maxilla/lower jaw.
