入选标准
- •1.Patients who fulfill the diagnostic criteria of Migraine.
- •i.Migraine headache (without aura)- At least five attacks fulfilling criteria B-D from diagnostic criteria of migraine without aura
- •ii.Migraine headache (with aura) - At least five attacks fulfilling criteria B-D from diagnostic criteria of migraine with aura
- •2.Patients between the age group of 18 to 60 years and both of the gender.
- •DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA
- •Migraine headache characteristics (without aura)
- •A.At least five attacks fulfilling criteria B-D
- •B.Headache attacks lasting 4 to 72 hours(untreated or unsuccessfully treated)
- •C.Headache has at least two of the following characteristics
- •1. Unilateral location
- •2. Pulsating quality
- •3. Moderate or severe pain intensity
- •4. Aggravation by or causing avoidance of routine physical activity
- •D. During headache at least one of the following:
- •1. Nausea and or vomiting
- •2. Photophobia and phonophobia
- •E. Not attributed to another disorder
- •Migraine headache characteristics (with aura)
- •A.At least five attacks fulfilling criteria B-D
- •B.Aura consisting of at least one of the following, but motor weakness:
- •1. Fully reversible visual symptoms including positive features (e.g. flickering lights, spots, or lines) and /or negative features (i.e. loss of vision)
- •2. Fully reversible sensory symptoms including positive features (i.e. pins and needles) and /or negative features (i.e., numbness)
- •3. Fully reversible dysphasic speech disturbance
- •C. At least two of the following:
- •1. Homonymous visual symptoms and /or unilateral sensory symptoms
- •2. At least one aura symptom develops gradually over ââ?°Â¥ 5 minutes, and /or Different aura symptoms occur in succession overââ?°Â¥ 5 minutes
- •3. Each symptom lasts ââ?°Â¥5 and ââ?°Â¤60 minutes
- •D. Headache fulfilling criteria B-D for Migraine without aura begins during the aura or follows aura within 60 minutes
- •E. Not attributed to another disorder.
排除标准
- •1.Patients on corticosteroids, who received psychopharmacological agents in the last 6 months.
- •2.Pregnant and lactating women.
- •3.Patient having any other clinical condition i.e. Diabetes mellitus, Hyperthyroidism, Hypothyroidism, Cardiovascular disease, Tuberculosis, and Parkinsonââ?¬•s disease and patients suffering from Sinusitis, Hypertension, and Fever, Secondary headache caused by Meningitis, Tumor, Encephalitis, Cervical Spondylitis, and Refractive errors; also patients using any other systemic drugs which may alter the results of the study were excluded.
