Inclusion Criteria

1. Patients with clinical signs of the disease Sidhma Kushtha as per Ayurvedic classics and Pityriasis Versicolor in modern dermatology.i.e

Shweta Varna (Hypopigmented macules)

Rajo Ghrishtum Vimunchyati (Furfuraceous scales, Powdery)

Tamra Varna (Copper coloured macules)

Alabupushpa Varna (Hypopigmented macules)

Kandu (Itching)

Urdhva Kaya especially Uras (chest, trunk or neck).

3.Patients found positive and negative for KOH will also be included in the trial.

4. Patients willing and able to participate in the trial.

5. Patients between age group of 12-60 years irrespective of gender, religion, occupation.

and chronicity will be selected for the study.

Exclusion Criteria

1.Presence of any other skin ailment on the chest trunk or neck(or defined site

of pityriasis versicolor).

2. Patients not willing to participate in the trial.

3. Patients whose age is less then 12yrs and above 60yrs.

4. Pregnancy,lactating women and puerperium.

5 Failure of Patients to follow up successive visits.
