简要总结
Hamstring tightness is highly prevalent in individuals with non-specific low back pain (NSLBP), reported to be around 85%.Tight hamstrings restrict pelvic mobility, alter lumbar–pelvic rhythm, and increase mechanical stress on the spine, thereby worsening pain, reducing range of motion, and contributing to functional disability.Prolonged sitting, poor posture, and weak core muscles further aggravate this condition. Research indicates that improving hamstring flexibility can significantly reduce the severity of pain and disability in NSLBP.Among the physiotherapy interventions, myofascial release (MFR) and dry cupping have gained attention for reducing muscle tightness and enhancing mobility. MFR works through manual sustained pressure and stretch to release fascial restrictions, while dry cupping uses negative pressure to improve circulation, reduce adhesions, and restore tissue mobility. However, there is limited evidence directly comparing the effectiveness of these two techniques. Thus, this study is needed to evaluate and compare MFR and dry cupping on hamstring tightness in NSLBP patients.
