type 2 diabetes for test group
Physically healthy (ASA I or II classification)
Psychological and emotional stable
No history of bone fracture during the last 12 months
Tooth loss at upper premolar or molar area (at least 6 months removal) & seek dental implant placement
Sufficient keratinized gingival at least 4 mm
Alveolar bone width of at least 6 mm and height of 12 mm (by CBCT)
No bone augmentation procedure needed before and during implant placement
Stable dental occlusion
Pregnant or lactating females
Use of anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive drugs
HIV
Current smoking or ex-smoker
Patients with major complications of Diabetes (Cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease, neuropathy and nephropathy)
History of chemotherapy or radiotherapy around head and neck area
Third molar and anterior edentulous area
