1) Both primigravida and multi gravida will be included with gestational age 20 weeks to 36 weeks.
2) Pregnant Woman complaining of pain similar to menstrual cramps or contraction, not resulting in progressive cervical dilatation and effacement.
1) Pregnancy associated with complications like preeclampsia, antepartum hemorrhage, premature rupture of membranes, cardiovascular disease (especially arrhythmias), hyperthyroidism, hypotension, any bleeding, asthma, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
2) If onset of labor is due to acute fever, acute pyelonephritis, diarrhoea, acute appendicitis, torsion of ovarian cyst.
3) Pregnant women suffering from genital infection or women diagnosed with congenital malformation of fetus, intra uterine death, intra uterine growth retardation, placenta previa or abruption
4) Regular uterine contraction with dilatation (>= 2 cm) and effacement ((>= 80%) of the
cervix or a change in cervical dilation or effacement detected by serial examinations
5) Length of the cervix (measured by TVS/ USG) <= 2.5 cm and funneling of the internal
os
