Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1.Patients willing to participate in the study
  • 2.Age group between 50-65 years
  • 3.Well-formed residual alveolar ridges
  • 4.No severe undercuts or bony exostosis
  • 5.Firm mucosa all over the denture bearing area with no signs of inflammation, ulceration or hyperplasia
  • 6.Absence of systemic disease
  • 7.Average quantity and consistency of saliva
  • 8.Normal TMJ function.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1.Extremely resorbed alveolar ridges (order V, VI)
  • 2.High palatal vault
  • 3.Flabby anterior ridge
  • 4.Poor neuromuscular control
  • 5.Oral submucous fibrosis
  • 6.Neuromuscular disorders (myositis, muscular dystrophy)
