Inclusion Criteria
Female and male patients ? 18 years of age.
- Initial diagnosis of histologically confirmed glottic laryngeal carcinoma of the Stages T1a/b or T2
- Curative intention to treat
- Informed and written consent
Exclusion Criteria
- Age <18 years
- Non-existent or limited legal capacity
- Past head and neck cancer with surgical and / or conservative Treatment
- Pre-existing limitations / limitations independent of the tumor in speech and swallowing function

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Overall and recurrence-free survival compared between group 1 (transoral partial laryngectomy) and group 2 (transcervical partial laryngectomy) and group 3 (primary irradiated laryngeal carcinoma) after a follow-up of two years.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Pre- and posttherapeutic quality of life (assessed by standardized, validated questionnaires), postoperative voice and swallowing function (assessed by standardized, validated questionnaires as well as established and regularly used examinations), peri- and postoperative complications.
