patients on the waiting list for CI in our clinic
-18 years or older
-postlingual deaf
-good cooperation
-german proficiency
Exclusion Criteria
-junger then 18 years
-not able to decide
-pre- or perilingual deaf
-lack of cooperation
-CI expérience
-insufficient knowledge of the german language

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Assessment of response shift prospectively and retrospectively It is a mechanism in adaptation to changing health. In our case, to cochlear implantation, with valid quality of life questionnaires at different time points in rehabilitation. The two points for data acquisition are: preoperative and 6 month of CI use.

Name Time Method Evaluation of predictive factors to subjective rehabilitation results (tinnitus, etiology, demographics, prospective vs. acute and retrospective vs. acute QoL-assessment)<br>Evaluation of the correlation between subjective prospective, acute and retrospective rehabilitation result and audiometric results.
