Inclusion Criteria
Patients with thoracic trauma requiring emergency chest tube placement as decided by trauma surgeon
Exclusion Criteria
Patients younger than 18 yrs
Patients in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest on arrival to ED
Patients who cannot respond to pain assessment
Patient requiring thoracotomy in initial 48 hours of addmission
patients not consenting for study
