- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Comparison of single-surgery complete anatomic success between patients undergoing

25G PPV with SF6 tamponade versus patients undergoing 25G PPV and 240 SB with SF6

tamponade for primary non-complex RRD

(Complete anatomic success is defined as attachment of the macula and the peripheral

360 degree retina up to the ora serrata)Timepoint: 24 hours, 1 week, 2 week, 4 week, 3 months
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1.Comparison of change in BCVA between the two groups

2. Comparison of the change in refractive error

3. Comparison of duration of surgery between the two groups

4. Comparison of the number of secondary surgical/laser procedures needed during 3

months of follow-up (repeat PPV, cataract surgery, PCO removal, glaucoma surgery)

between the two groups

5. Comparison of the degree of retinal displacement (on ultra-widefield fundus

photography and short-wave autofluorescence imaging)Timepoint: 3 months
