研究概览

简要总结

This is a primary research study not a clinical trial and proposes a solution to the problem of the diagnosis of dermatophyte genus organisms from clinical samples. The study aims to enhance the precision of clinical diagnostics by associating certain morphological characteristics with dermatophyte species in order to provide effective treatment options. The results can lessen the dependence on long and costly lab tests, promoting quicker, more efficient treatment of dermatophytosis. The sample collection for the study has not yet been started.

时间窗: The aims of this research project will be evaluated in parallel during the period of one year of the study. Periodic assessments will monitor any developments and assure that they conform to the primary research objectives.

Development of a diagnostic algorithm or set of criteria to aid in the identification of the causative species based on clinical presentation.

次要结局

  • The study is anticipated to establish a significant clinico-mycological correlation using the Dermatophyte Severity Score (DSS), allowing for more accurate assessment of the severity and specific dermatophyte species involved in dermatophytosis.(Enhanced understanding of the pathophysiology of different types of tinea, leading to improved diagnostic and treatment strategies.)
