Inclusion Criteria
first ever stroke (infarction or hemorrhage diagnosed with brain CT or MRI)
- hemiplegia with unilateral lesion
- subacute status, stroke occurred > 1months and <6months
- MMSE = 24(to be able to understand and follow instructions)
- age = 18
Exclusion Criteria
- severe spasticity, with a Modified Ashworth Scale =3
- excessive pain in the affected upper limb, Visual Analog Scale =5
- enrolled in any experimental rehabilitation studies
- poor general condition
- not willing to participate in study
