简要总结
The study aims to investigate the prevalence of sports-related injuries among school-going athletes aged 6 to 12 in Belagavi City, Karnataka. The research highlights that young athletes are particularly vulnerable to injuries due to their developing bodies and varying levels of training intensity. With a reported global prevalence of 40.4% for such injuries, and higher rates in specific regions such as 65% in Mangalore, Karnataka, this study seeks to fill a gap in existing literature, which has primarily focused on older populations. Utilizing the Youth Sports Injury Scale (Y-SIS) for data collection, the study plans to include a sample size of 135 participants from various primary schools. The findings aim to inform preventive strategies and enhance understanding of injury risks in younger athletes, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes and sports participation among children.
