入排标准
入选标准
- •Age above 35 years.
- •Conscious, cooperative patient.
- •ABG findings on room air: pH <7.35, PCO2 >45mmHg, PO2 <60mmHg, SPO2 <92%.
- •Able to maintain patency of the airway.
- •Tachypnoea with respiratory rate more than 24/min.
- •Increased work of breathing (accessory muscle use, pursed lip breathing).
排除标准
- •Age below 35 years.
- •Impaired consciousness (Glasgow coma scale <10).
- •Impaired cough/ swallowing reflex/ unable to maintain patent airway.
- •Confusion/ agitation/ severe cognitive impairment.
- •Severe upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
- •Hemodynamic instability (on inotropes/shock).
- •Life threatening hypoxia.
- •Recent facial or upper airway surgeries.
- •Facial burns/ trauma.
