Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Stroke survivors:
- •People with hemiparetic stroke due to either brain hemorrahage or infarction
- •People of age below 65 yr with upper extremity paresis due to stroke
- •People with cognitive capability to understand and perform experimenters' instructions
- •People who gave written consent by either themselves or their guardians
- •Healthy controls:
- •Healthy people of age below 65 yr
Exclusion Criteria
- •Stroke survivors:
- •People with an underlying disease that may reduce immune function (e.g. diabetes)
- •People with a neurological condition except stroke or with an orthopedic condition of upper limb joints
- •People with insufficient cognitive capability to perform experimenters' instructions
- •People who are not able to make postures required for the experiment due to contracture or spasticity of upper limb joints
- •Healthy controls:
- •People with an underlying disease that may reduce immune function (e.g. diabetes)
- •Poeple with an orthopedic condition of upper limb joints
- •People with insufficient cognitive capability to perform experimenters' instructions
