Inclusion Criteria
All physical status ASA I patients undergoing general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation.
Exclusion Criteria
Any emergency surgeries
Patients receiving total intravenous anaesthesia Anticipated difficult airway
Repeated or multiple attempts at intubation

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Percent change in stress hormone levels (DHEAs and cortisol) from baseline.Timepoint: Baseline and at 2 mins after intubation
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Percent change in stress hormone DHEAs and cortisol, heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean blood pressure in the three groups from the baseline with fentanyl alone or fentanyl with either dexmedetomidine or magnesium sulphate.Timepoint: Change in hormone DHEAS and cortisol levels at baseline and 2 minutes after intubation.Heart rate,SBP,DBP and MBP at baseline, 5mins after drug given,10 mins after drug given,at the time of intubation, 2 mins after intubation,every 2 mins till 10 mins.
