Inclusion Criteria

GI score >= 1, PPD >= 1-3mm , CAL >= 5mm, Radiographic evidence of bone loss, HbA1c levels >= 6.5 % and RBS levels >= 200 mg/dl.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Medical disorders such as cardiovascular or renal disease,

2. Malignancies, multiple sclerosis

3. Vitamin D deficiency disorders including bone diseases.

4. Tobacco chewers and smokers.

5. Pregnant, post-menopausal and lactating females.

6. No history of antibiotic intake within 6 weeks.

7. No history of any periodontal therapy within 6 months.
